CALIFORN-I-A!

We had a BLAST in Cali this past week! It was so nice to get away from work and spend time with each other and family in the sun. We stayed most of the time at my sister Melissa and Matt's house in Hemet (in between San Diego and LA) WARNING: major picture overload!

Would you not love waking up to this every morning? These are the orange groves in their backyard
Chillaxin poolside

The famous In-N-Out burger. We both personally think it's overrated, but when in Rome
After lunch we went to my favorite outlet mall! They have everything I love there: J.Crew, Banana Republic, Gap, Nike....

Our sweet rental car! A brand new Ford Fusion
Thursday we went to Knotts Berry Farm. It was a ton of fun, but I'll tell you what, that place brings out the WEIRDEST white trash people!

The log ride

One of our favorite rides: The Accelerator!

Really scared!

Matt took Brandon mountain biking. He said he about passed out but had a lot of fun.

They even saw a live rattle snake! But the one around his neck is just a gardener ;)

Hayden has gotten so big and loves to talk!
Little Nathan loves those video games

Friday night we went to a San Diego Padres vs Anaheim Angels game. We bought just $12 tickets to sit up in the nose bleeds and that also got us a hot dog and Coke. After about the 1st inning, one of the security guys game up and asked if there was a party of 2 that wanted to move down lower. I guess some guy had tickets he wasn't using. Brandon quickly raised his hand. Little we know that "lower" meant the 10th row! We were right by the field behind 3rd base. The game was much more fun down there!

We went from up here...

to here!
I love me some cotton candy!

Is this post over yet?!

Saturday we went to Mission Beach with some of my parents and a few siblings and the Barkers (my 2nd family) who were all there for a wedding. Of course, out of the 6 days we were there, the day we go to the beach is the ONE day that is rainy and cloudy and cold. I did get in the water though and boogie boarded though.

My studly man
Brandon's first time boogie boarding

Saying goodbye on Sunday (we went and stayed in a hotel close to the airport so we wouldn't have to wake up at 2am to catch our flight)

Melissa always has the prettiest garden
We miss you, California, but NOT your stinkin traffic! (I made it through all the driving with only throwing up once! ;) Back to reality I guess...
