A Christmas Surprise!

We had a fun little surprise for my family on Christmas morning. We had my mom open a gift that was a baby bottle with a note attached saying:
Due on the 4th of July!
That's right folks. I'm preggers! Can you believe it? Because I certainly cannot.
We are SO excited. Especially Brandon. He would have been fine if we had a honeymoon baby. Never met a man who loved children so much! He was the one that bought the pregnancy test and made me take it, cuz I really did not think that I was pregnant. And when it came out positive, I was freaking out (to say the least) and he was just so happy and content. He will make the best Dad.
I am 13 weeks today. We got to hear the heartbeat a few weeks ago and it was really weird, but really cool! Still doesn't feel real. Except for the fact that I have been SO SICK. Throwing up everything I eat. Lost 6 lbs in the past few weeks. Missing way too many hours at school. Absolutely miserable. But, it'll all be worth it right??
I am scared out of my mind but am so grateful that Heavenly Father has entrusted us with one of His precious children. I remember when my friend Angelique was pregnant and said that she was really scared but knew that "Heavenly Father is always going to be there to help her"
I have been praying for strength a lot lately.

Lindsay! I am so excited for you! But I'm sorry you have been so sick. Ugh. You are right, though. it is totally worth it. When you see your baby for the first time you will forget all the downs of being pregnant.

It makes me feel good that you remember me saying that about Heavenly Father's help. He has totally helped us in raising Dougie. I am constantly praying for his help and it's always there.

Can't wait for pictures of you prego!

I'd like to remind you of when I asked you if you were "expecting anything exciting for Christmas"-the most awkward way to ask anyone what they wanted for Christmas. Anyways, after that moment I had a sneaking suspicion...CONGRATS!
