Grant is doing well i will be going in to bottle feed him for the first time in about 30 minutes. They decided that they want to keep him in the NICU over night just to see how he does with the feedings and make sure he continues to do well. I think that they may be a little over cautious but its good that they are making sure he is healthy. He seems to be doing really well though every time i go into see him, so i am not worried about him at all.
Lindsay has had a rough morning. She has had a lot of bleeding and actually had a really bad blood clot that she ended up basically having to deliver. (2 deliveries in 12 hours and this time no epidural) The blood clot actually weighed over three pounds and so it caused her a terrible amount of pain but once it finally came out she felt a lot better. They think that the bleeding is starting to slow down now and that she should be fine. They are going to give her a couple of units of blood because her blood counts are low from all of the blood that she has lost. They are hoping that the blood transfusion will give her some energy so that she will be able to go and see Grant. She has only been able to hold him for about 10 seconds after he was born and then saw him for a few minutes last night. I feel so bad for her because she wants to hold him so bad, but for now she has to worry about taking care of herself. Things are looking better now, but please keep her and Grant in your prayers. I'll keep everyone updated on how they are doing later today.
